In August 2022, the resort opened a new 5,000-seat concert hall, branded as the OLG Stage. It marked the company's first Canadian properties. On June 11, 2019, the day-to-day operations of Fallsview and Casino Niagara were assumed by Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment–an affiliate of the Mohegan Tribe, and owner of the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut-under a 21-year agreement with OLG. Prior to the casino's construction, the site was also occupied by the Canadian Pacific Railway Montrose Subdivision.Ĭonstruction began in 2001 and the resort opened on June 10, 2004. The casino was built on a site that was once the transformer station building for the Ontario Power Company at the foot of Horseshoe Falls.
